Mental Health Counselor

They/Them

Therapy with Naomi

I provide trauma-competent and person-centered care for children, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and seek to embrace and empower clients of all genders, sexualities, races, ethnicities, class statuses, weights, ages, disability statuses, and identities.

I am trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) as well as TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy). I am also a credentialed CSAYC and am happy to provide these services to families and communities. My specialties are working with complex trauma and dissociation, LGBTQIA+ individuals, depression, and anxiety. However, there are a number of client needs that I am passionate about providing care for. I have experience working in harm reduction, domestic violence, and the child welfare system. I provide care to the clients who fear their past is “too much;” finding ways to explore this safely when they are ready to seek a quiet to the chaos.

Coming to therapy is often a hard decision and can be frightening, so I strive to create security for folks wherever they are in their mental health journey. I believe therapy is an act of trust and it is a privilege to share in this trust and experience with my clients in session.

Fun Info

I share my home with 3 beautiful pets - 2 cats and a parrot. They love attention and may make an appearance in my telehealth sessions where they can say hello to you.

When I am not working I am spending time outside foraging for mushrooms, food, and wading through water to find the best rocks.

One of my favorite ways to spend an evening is singing karaoke with my friends.
