Therapy with KP

I believe deeply in the power of connection and relational work. I bring my own personhood to therapy so that I may actively strive to be a more anti-racist, intersectional, LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent affirming, disability justice oriented, and trauma-informed therapist.

I primarily work from a narrative therapy and emotion focused therapy lens. I feel passionate about working with people in periods of change, exploration, and processing of complex trauma. I enjoy working with individual adults and couples (including those in non-monogamous relationships), who are also often neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+. I’m especially interested in expanded support systems and chosen families.

I obtained a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at East Carolina University in 2019 and I have been conducting therapy since then.

Fun Info

  • I have a three-legged pitbull pup named Apollo who has been my sweet companion- going on 8 years now. He is old and loud and has many needs. He has been with me through many moves from Ohio to North Carolina to Virginia and now to Indy.

  • I love swimming and bodies of water. I grew up in southern Ohio, by a man-made lake, and I hope to one day live closer to an authentic body of water.

  • I’m almost always listening to podcasts, usually some variation of comedy/history/true crime.

Insurance & Out of Pocket

KP takes the following insurances:

  • Traditional Medicaid

  • Anthem Medicaid

  • United Healthcare Medicaid

  • Caresource Medicaid

  • MDwise

  • MHS

Self-Pay or Out of Pocket fees are determined by annual household income and number of dependents on that income.

What Clients Say

KP is an excellent provider. They are kind, compassionate, highly insightful, and clearly an expert in their field. I have already recommended them to my spouse and others. It is extremely important as an adult dx PDA AuDHDer to have someone who has similar experiences as me, and doesn't try to change my perspective. I highly recommend KP.
