Therapy with Mia
Starting therapy is a big step, whether you’re a child learning to navigate big emotions, a teenager feeling overwhelmed by life changes, or an adult trying to make sense of where you are in life. Welcome, my name is Mia Jennings and I am a newly licensed social worker. I bring hands-on experience from community mental health, where I worked with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and difficult life transitions.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and rooted in meeting each individual where they are. Each individual is different, meaning I utilize a variety of approaches based on individual needs. These include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) solution-focused approaches, and trauma-informed care to help clients build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and move towards feeling like the best version of themselves through a client-centered approach. I specialize in working with behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, and stressful life transitions.
Whether you’re dealing with a recent change, carrying more stress or worry than feels manageable, or just want a safe space to work through difficulties, I’d be glad to help you figure out next steps.
